Who we are:
Picnic is a rapidly growing, venture backed startup based in Silicon Valley. We have built a mobile social application that serves as the gateway to hobbies, passion points, and interests – the “operating system for interests”. We have grown to over a million users within 2 months (faster than early Snapchat, YouTube, or Music.ly [Tiktok]), have better usage than leading social networks, and present an opportunity to positively impact socialization for a generation and beyond, shaping the internet and giving a taste of community to gen z. We’ve closed a fundraising round and are looking for talented, hardcore software engineers to lead our product scaling and growth.
Who We're Looking For:
We are looking for a self organized and motivated automation QA professional to help us maintain our app. We have a system composed of a mobile application that runs both on Android and iOS, and a backend website linked with several third-party services. We're looking to test all the features while we're rolling out the application.
Daily and Weekly Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute manual tests on the whole system (app + backend + third-party services) on both Android and iOS
- Develop quality assurance standards and company processes for product inspection
- Meet consumer demand
- Create and submit reports documenting errors for fixing
- Closely communicate with development team to solve problems Objectives of this Role
- Document testing activities
- Remain available for frequent communication on our Discord channel
Skills and Qualifications
- Commercial QA Automation (Python) experience of 2 years or more
- Python, Appium
- Jira/Agile/Scrum knowledge
- Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- English - from Intermediate
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodology and how QA functions within it
