We are looking for an experienced and motivated System Administrator (in Limassol, Cyprus). You will be working within our system administrators (SA) team. You will create and maintain tools to automate daily tasks across multiple servers. You will monitor, troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, storage and network related issues on UNIX based systems. As a member of our SA team you will work closely with both JAVA and .NET
Development teams, when you deploy and manage new software they develop.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years experience of RHEL/CentOS Linux, preferably in internet or service operations
- A strong knowledge of TCP/IP family protocols
- Good time management skills, and autonomy
- Working knowledge of at least one major virtualization systems (xen, kvm, vmware)
- In-depth operating knowledge of the Linux system
- Working knowledge of at least one scripting language (shell, perl, python)
- In-depth operating knowledge of SAN / NAS
- Working knowledge of at least one revision control systems (subversion, mercurial, git)
- Strong communication skills in English and Russian
- Ability to work on shift schedule
Experience in the following would be an advantage:
- Basic operating knowledge of Oracle DB
- Operating knowledge of RPM (building packages)
- Certification in any UNIX based operating system (SCSA, AIX, RHCE)
- Basic operating knowledge of Cisco network equipment
- Monitoring and managing server-side Java applications
