DINS is a development center of the US-based company RingCentral, which offers an innovative suite of collaboration products for enterprises, mid-size companies and small businesses worldwide.
RingCentral bought two successful startups providing contact center solutions, and we integrated them into a single product offering as a part of UCaaS. Our engineering and SRE teams work closely with startup teams, applying best practices of software development and service support. We are looking for a Reliability Engineer to Reliability team.
You will be a part of the team responsible for running user-facing high-load service. You will contribute to the product focusing on high availability, maintainability and scalability. You will apply the best practices of site reliability engineering, operational discipline and automation.
Technical stack: Java, Node.JS, Redis, Kafka, Aurora, Docker, ELK, TICK, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Python, ArgoCD
Your responsibilities:
- Increase observability of service performance, eliminate logging and monitoring white spots
- Improve service maintainability and scalability through automation
- Plan resources and capacity for growth
- Perform disaster recovery exercises
- Implement security & compliance requirements
- Provide ongoing support for production environment, manage and resolve incidents and perform root cause analysis
- Interact with development teams to improve service operational characteristics
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and relevant experience in running high-load services in production
- Understanding of fault-tolerant service architecture principles
- Knowledge of SRE principles and DevOPS practices
- Experience working with public clouds
- Experience with infrastructure as code approach
- Understanding of security best practices in AWS cloud environments
- Experience with at least some tools & instruments from our technical stack
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP basics, Network routing, DNS basics
- Understanding of Linux server systems, basic knowledge of most common Linux utilities
- Accuracy, attention to details, ability to follow processes
- Good communication skills with English level intermediate or above
Pluses:
- Experience working with call- or contact centers
- Ability to read and troubleshoot Java code if needed
