VIAcode is hiring a DevOps\SRE engineer to work with product team. You will need to focus on ensuring high system reliability, working closely with the software development and IT operations teams. Splits time between operations/on-call duties and developing systems and software that help increase site reliability and performance.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Deploy and maintain monitoring and alerting systems
  • Build CI/CD pipelines for application and services
  • Release, change management; release automation
  • Analyze usage and utilization trends to make appropriate design and implementation recommendations
  • Identify and troubleshoot performance and stability issues; assist engineering team in troubleshooting of production issues
  • Analyze the error streams from various sources
  • Actively participate in Postmortem/RCA for incidents
  • Operate, maintain, and improve QA, staging and production application infrastructure
  • Work with Development teams to influence design, development and deployment for reliability and scalability

Technical skills

  • Solid understanding of modern DevOps and deployment automation practices: Ansible, Azure DevOps, Chef, Confluence, Consul.io, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Understanding of Microsoft CAF/WAF.
  • Deep understanding of automation, continuous delivery, continuous deployment, and continuous integration methodologies.
  • Deep technical experience in scripting and software development.
  • Understanding of common database technologies, such as SQL Database/Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
  • Working knowledge with AGILE development
  • Understanding of software testing and optimization methodologies, including executing performance and regression testing and building test plans and cases.

  • Proven track record for continuously deploying software following Agile development practices.
  • Process oriented, with a proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts & ensuring follow through.
