Java Back-end Developer Rotterdam

Looking for brilliant Java developer to join great product development team in Rotterdam. Currently the main project is to develop innovative platform for one the biggest Swiss telecommunication company with more than 6 million mobile customers. Before company launched free app for calling and messaging with more than 150 million users worldwide.

You role:

Your task will be to write a server-code, using Java Spring or Java EE, for web-based and scalable apps. Your in-depth knowledge of scalable systems should bring significant contribution to our networking infrastructure and add value to architecture of our platforms and systems.

Your qualification:

• High motivation and great enthusiasm;
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer science or relative field;
• You should be good as a team player as well as a self-directed employee with the ability to adjust to changing priorities;
• You’re expected to have a sufficient working experience, including agile software development (for example, test driven development, scrum methodology, etc.);
• You are supposed to write top quality codes that would ensure smooth running of the apps;
• We expect you to have good knowledge of design patterns and Java, and real practical experience with JIRA, Jenkins, Gradle, GIT, MVN;
• Excellent knowledge of English, both, written and spoken;
• Extensive experience with multi-tier architectures. It would be beneficial if you demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Spring Security, Spring Data and Spring Web MVC. A great plus will be if you know the following technologies: EJB, JAX-RS, JPA, JUnit, Maven and some other tools and frameworks associated with Java ecosystem.
• You should prove to have implemented various solutions in multiple environments;
• It’d be desirable if you know the database management platforms such as Oracle, MariaDB, PostgreSQL;
• Know how the Tomcat or any equivalent has been built;
• Have understanding and expertise in working with middleware technology
