Linux Administrator

At our spinoff project committed to eliminate voice fraud globally we are now seeking for experienced Linux Administrator.

In the role of Linux Administrator you will be organizing and delivering the installation and integration of spinoff solutions on customers sites, and ensure that our services are running smoothly with the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Communicate and coordinate with developers during client onboarding;
• Resolve integration problems related to the specific equipment setting and configuration on the client side and on servers;
• Commission and deliver the system according to the customer specific Operations processes and guidelines;
• Provide system deployment administration and final delivery
• Initial diagnostics of potential problems with the service availability using internal tools, remote access and instructions;
• Solve problems with the service continuity within agreed SLA lead times;
• Provide 2nd level support, remote diagnostics of equipment and software on the customer's side, correct settings and resolve configuration errors;
• Interact with the Helpdesk and with first and third levels of support in the process of problem solving;
• Collect customer feedback, participate in periodic meetings;
• Participate in the software update process on the client side, notify clients and monitoring the planned works schedule.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in linux administration;

Or

• 3+ years in delivery and administration of hardware/software products to telecom operators;
• Experience in communicating with clients and working in the first or second line of support;

Base Qualifications:

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good English language level; Technical Qualifications:
• Strong skills in Linux based systems administration (rpm-based RHEL, OEL)
• Knowledge of bash / perl / Python scripting languages
• Knowledge of network IP protocols and routing (iproute2, tc, iptables, nftables)
• Knowledge of virtual and cloud technologies (VMWare, Docker, K8s, AWS);
• Knowledge of setting up site-to-site VPN, roadwarrior;
• Knowledge of dynamic and static routing.

Preferable Additional Qualifications:

• Bachelor or master in telecom or electric engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in administering technical systems remotely;
• Knowledge of SIP, RADIUS, DIAMETER, SS7, SIGTRAN protocols;
• Knowledge of CAMEL protocol and of the architecture of CAMEL-based networks.
