Senior Java Test Automation Engineer

This position requires relocation to Serbia. Relocation assistance will be provied

The customer is an American publicly traded provider of cloud-based communications and collaboration solutions for businesses.
The customer requested Orion Innovation, formerly MERA, to automate API integration tests for Video Services solution (webinars).

Activities:

• Automate test cases (API tests, test infrastructure) for Web and Desktop clients
• Maintain existing test automation (fixing suspended/broken autotests)
• Maintain and improve CI pipeline
• Communicate with the development team and manual testing team

Required skills:

• 3+ years experience in automation testing or programming background on Java.
• Strong understanding of QA strategies and methodologies (smoke/sanity testing, regression testing, functional and non-functional testing).
• Experience with Jenkins, Gitlab CI, or other CI.
• Practical experience with VCS (GIT, etc).
• Attention to details, great analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Desire to develop and learn new things.
• Great communication skills.

Desirable skills:

• Knowledge of automation tools/frameworks
• Knowledge of IDE (Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, etc.)
• Practical knowledge of any bug tracking system usage(e.g. Jira) or knowledge and understanding such systems main features.
• Experience with logs analysis.
• Experience with specific libraries: Jackson, Lombok, Apache HTTP client, Hamcrest
