Full-stack Node.js/JavaScript developer

This is a senior position for an experienced developer.

Full-stack Node.js/JavaScript developer with a primary focus on backend API development

*Stack*
Experience: AWS (S3, EC2, SQS, ELB), Packer, NPM, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Mongo, JavaScript, Swagger, Gulp, Express, EJS, Google APIs (Maps, etc.), Twilio (SMS), Stripe SDK.

*Bonus*
Experience or willingness to learn: Claudia framework, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, PayPal API, Dwolla API

*Description*
We are looking for a full-stack JavaScript engineer, capable of building the frontend, but with a primary focus on backend work/API development.

You will be working in a production environment on live data on continuous development and support, but at the same time, we have a couple of new projects starting up, which allow working with different technologies and practices in leading their development.

The position requires attention to detail and the ability to multitask with flexibility on working hours.

We value the desire to learn and improve, and the “get stuff done” attitude.

From the technical perspective, we are looking for strong skills in developing highly available, effective, and optimized for performance backend (REST APIs) applications, knowledge of building real-time applications with emphasis on concurrency and reliability.

Most of our projects have mobile (iOS and Android) clients. While there is usually not a lot of “DevOps” work, it is essential to know that we expect an engineer to own systems top-to-bottom.

This is remote work, flexible hours (can consider part-time as well), though we need to make sure we maintain good communication to make it work.
