Senior cloud sw engineer (technical leader)

5G base station (gNB) products are targeted to run over embedded, COTS servers and cloud.
The products involve several SW layers (L1-L3) ,multiple SW components, and SW interfaces with HW/FPGA. The eco system include third party components (core network, cellular devices).
Typical features may be related to configuration flow, protocols implementation, data processing, K8s orchestration and more.

Focused in architectural transformation (design and hands on) of our CU and DU to support higher bit rates, be horizontal scalable and cloud native ready.
The challenges are around increasing throughput, transforming to micro services, technology stack selection and code optimizations in general.

Responsibilities:

• Develop next generation cloud/K8s infrastructure
• Work independently on new software concepts and disciplines
• Integrating with peer teams
• Debug and fixing QA and customer’s issues
• Work closely with System engineers and other R&D teams

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of software development experience in C++/C and Python 
• Technical leader with strong background in backend development
• Strong background with virtualization and Dockerization concepts
• Ability to actively drive end to end solution definition
• English Advanced
  
• Experience with 4 of the following skills:

• AWS, GCP, Azure
• Linux kernel, DPDK, HPC, network protocols, network security
• Software modeling/information models, Netconf/YANG
• Docker, K8s, Docker Swarm
• MANO (ONAP, OSM and such)
• KAFKA, RabbitMQ ,REDIS, Memcached ,Service Mesh (Istio), Elastic, Fluentd, Kibana, Grafana
• Ansible, Puppet, Chef
• Relational and non-relational databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.)
