Backend Python Team Lead

We are looking for a Team Lead for remote work in our worldwide team. We need an ambitious manager who wants to take part in something big and assume responsibility for the success of a new and innovative e-commerce project.

The right candidate will be someone with an open mind and creative thinking who loves to solve problems and who strives to take their projects to the next level.

Job Type: Remote, full-time

• Main hard skills requirements for candidates:
  • Commercial and development experience with Python 3 (5+ years)
  • Experience in leading and mentoring other team members (2+ years experience as Team lead)
  • RESTful API creation in Python with Flask
  • Experience with the following frameworks and libraries such as SQLAlchemy, Celery, Marshmallow
  • Strong background with third party tools MySQL and MongoDB databases, Redis, RabbitMQ
  • Experience working with microservices and containerized applications with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with Agile approach, and CI / CD

• Main soft skills requirements for candidates:
  • Maintaining quality and improving product architecture, including data models, schemas, annotations and established application module structures

• Provides implementation assessments and evaluations of various approaches, structures, solutions, etc
• Performs tasks from the backlog, participates in the code review process
• Effectively communicates technology solutions
• Responsible for preparing technical documentation such as descriptions, call sequences, internal and external product integrations
• Keeps track of established software development processes
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• English - Intermediate level at least (Advantage)
• Ability to work in a timezone close to the US

• Managerial skilles:
  • • Strategic planning and management of the entire backend team 
    • Definition and alignment of the vision, strategy, and roadmap, in order to help the company stay ahead of the competition.
    • Create and present visionary innovations (occasionally in front of the senior management team), strategic decision proposals, as well as the calculation of business cases
    • Lead a team in which you motivate and achieve steady improvements in your area 
    • Identification and promotion of high potentials and talents
