Middle developer C/Python on Linux - KernelCare [Remote]

We are looking for a Middle Linux/C/POSIX/Python/Bash Developer to join our KernelCare team. KernelCare, CloudLinux’s fastest growing product, provides automated kernel security updates without reboots for most popular Linux distributions. It ensures optimal performance and uptime by allowing hosting providers and enterprises to keep kernels up-to-date with all security patches while keeping servers online.

Qualifications that we are looking for

Must:

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical related field
• 3+ years of task automation experience with Linux, Python, Bash scripting
• 2+ years of experience developing applications in C/C++ in Linux
• Experience with Docker/Podman
• Basic knowledge of POSIX API
• Basic knowledge of compilers and libraries internals
• A passion for solving challenging problems
• Happy in an agile, fast-paced environment. 
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• English and Russian speaking skills (intermediate+)

Desired:

• Have a track record of contributing to open source solutions 

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop and support Python and Bash scripts for task automation
• Automate the process of fetching CVE patches from upstream
• Gather, analyze CVE patches for open-source projects written in C
• Integrate and adapt CVE patches for our live-patching solutions
