Senior Software Engineer C++

Our Software Engineers play a key role in making the vehicle of the future a reality by developing technologies that deliver a turnkey, fully autonomous driving system for our customers. Do you enjoy working closely with roboticists and engineers to bring ground breaking algorithms from concept to prototype and then from prototype to a product deployed in the real world at scale? What you'll be doing:

• Design, implement and maintain pipelines within our traffic simulator and software related to the operation of fleets of autonomous vehicles (e.g. virtualization, cloud computing, module interfaces)
• Contribute to the software architecture, design and maintenance of our simulation pipeline
• Guide junior engineers and software engineers to implement algorithms
• Interface with other teams (DevOps, simulation services, visualization services, etc)
• Provide technical leadership to make consequential decisions related to software infrastructure
• Generate new ideas and contribute to the team’s vision and systems
• Collaborate with the team on developing advanced modules related to traffic simulations and mobility systems

What we're looking for:

• Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong track record of robust implementations (work experience of minimum of 6 years)
• Experience with virtualization (e.g. Docker)
• Experience with cloud computing (e.g. AWS)
• Knowledge of software design patterns and software architecture
• Excellent Modern C++ development skills on Linux platforms
• Experience with software engineering tools (e.g., Git, CMake, CI, gdb, etc.)
• Experience developing software as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong quantitative ability
• Analytical problem solving skills
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently

Bonus points (not required):

• 5-7+ years experience with real-time systems
• Experience using static analysis and model checking tools
• Experience with graph theory/algorithms and traffic simulation methods
• Experience with code profiling and optimization'
• Previous exposure to and familiarity with software development in Java and Python Prior experience in developing algorithms or research on traffic simulations
