We're on a mission to build the best product in the world. With 2 offices in London and Riga, our Riga-based Product, Design and Engineering team counts 8 amazing people and growing.

We're a very small team achieving big results consistently and rapidly — and so far, everyone who's joined us since our start in 2016 is still with us! In Riga, you're joining a team that encourages and values your contribution, creativity and drive to do better everyday. We're counting five engineers right now and are looking for new members to join us on our journey!

Why do we need you?

We’re looking for someone to help us define, develop and improve Juro infrastructure and backend services. Working alongside a small team of passionate developers on automating the way people agree you will help define how we can use and reuse internal APIs to quickly release and improve new functionality, enable our partners to leverage the external API to build better services on top of Juro as well as help us manage a growing set of third-party integrations as well as our internal AWS infrastructure. You will have autonomy to make decisions that lead to the best outcomes and help us define the tools and processes that we use in that journey.

Reporting into our Engineering Manager Valeriy, you'll support our growing set of integrations, the support and improvements for both the public as well as the internal set of APIs and maintain the increasing number of internal microservices.

What are you going to do?

• Write code that will be the backbone for scalable and high-performing features that power Juro.
• Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and designers to identify and solve challenging problems.
• Help us improve, define and support the architecture and infrastructure that powers Juro — we’re mostly on AWS for now.

This might be for you if...

• You have 5+ years of experience in the software engineering industry.
• You've worked together with a team on a challenging project, using NodeJS and Typescript.
• You have experience working with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.
• You have delivered functionality caring about the product as a whole and the 'why' behind the work.
• You've built and supported both internal and external APIs.
• You write reliable and maintainable automated tests.
• You've integrated security, resilience and scalability into the services that you built.

Bonus if:

• You're fluent with Mongoose.
• You’ve created a robust build pipeline for a complex web application.
• You have experience setting up and managing infrastructure with Ansible as well as building and supporting microservices and other systems within the AWS platform.
