Lead DevOps Engineer (Azure/AWS)

We’re in search of a Lead DevOps Engineer with an AWS/Azure Clouds focus who’s ready to help us move our cloud journey a step forward and improve our customer’s clients experience by building systems that bring our business to new heights.

About the Project:

The Project involves constructing business-facing apps within the public cloud.

The outputs of the process will include all relevant code and detailed Low Level Design that address the needs of the business. Engineers will work closely with Architecture and Operations to ensure all solutions are seamless transitioned from build to run.

It is necessary to leverage a standard set of enterprise wide artefacts such as Design Patterns and Standards, follow guiding design principles ensuring the develop solutions or technical components deliver GBS strategic intent, whilst meeting the solution requirements providing business value.

Team Composition: 2 DevOps, 1 Scrum Master, 1 Senior Developer, 7 Senior DevOps, 1 Senior Project Manager

Requirements:

• More than 4 + years of experience in building and maintaining systems in AWS/Azure Clouds;
• Experience in DevOps and automation;
• Experience with migrating datacenters workloads AWS/Azure;
• Solid Python/Powershell scripting skills;
• Experience with IaaC(CloudFormation, ARM templates)
• Experience in leveraging version control systems to manage Infrastructure as code;
• Recent experience within the Design and implementation of complex, highly available and highly scalable solutions.
• Experience in configuring and implementing cloud storage solutions to meet varying demands;
• Experience in implementing solutions that meet today’s Information Security requirements;
• Enterprise wide architectural governance, architecture decisions, exceptions, standards etc.
• Be enthusiastic and curious about all things cloud;
• Working or have worked in a role where the primary duties involve developing, managing, maintaining or migrating applications to the cloud;
• Experience with Azure/AWS SDK

Nice to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field;
• AWS/Azure Certification

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with Solution Architect, translate business requirements into technical ones;
• Participate in grooming, make decisions and choose a technical implementation approach;
• Present results on Demo, conduct code reviews;
• Maintain in depth knowledge of the AWS/Azure cloud platform, provide detailed advice regarding their application and execute specialized tasks;
• Define test conditions for given requirements. Design test cases and create test scripts and supporting data, working to the specifications provided. Analyses and reports test activities and results. Identify and report issues and risks;
• Assists in the configuration of software and equipment and systems testing of platform-specific versions of one or more software products. Document faults, implements resolutions and retest to agreed standards;
• Apply tools, techniques and processes to track, log and correct information related to CIs, ensuring protection of assets and components from unauthorized change, diversion and inappropriate use.
• Develop, document and implement changes based on requests for change.
