Senior Ruby on Rails developer

We are hiring a Ruby on Rails Developer in Frankfurt for our client, Drooms. Drooms builds solutions for big corporations that handle massive amounts of data, processed with machine learning for easier use. It is used by large corporations that need to share huge amounts of documents in the most secure manner possible with full audit trails. Drooms are currently completely replacing their existing codebase with a new one, so it’s an opportunity to start fresh and build according to best practices. We are looking for someone willing to relocate to the beautiful city of Frankfurt and build a new life there. We have excellent relocation packages!

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a senior Ruby on Rails developer that loves challenges. You probably have at least 5 years of work experience as a Ruby on Rails developer. You use GitHub for version control with a passion. When you sleep, if you sleep, you dream about RSpec. You probably know a thing or two about machine learning and is very good at math.

Most importantly, you understand that our customers pay our salaries.

As a person you are communicative, passionate about programming and transferring knowledge. You have a professional attitude and understand that discussing problems is better than beating your head against the wall. You prefer writing very good code rather than fast and sloppy code. You put code quality above prestige.

The team largely consists of Russian speaking coders, so if you know fluent Russian, that’s a bonus. English is a must though.

YOUR ROLE AS RUBY ON RAILS DEVELOPER IN FRANKFURT

You will be building the customers system from the ground up together with the rest of the team. As part of the Rails team, it is your responsibility to do a new version of the old code base. You will together with UX and front end build a new, better and easier to use version of the tool.
