We are building an exciting instant messaging platform that’s defining a whole new category.
Our offices are based in Chiang Mai, Thailand and we’re an international team of 10 in a productive yet low stress environment. We seek and nurture people who are passionate about building great software.
We're just getting started with thousands of users and excited about the challenges ahead. Due to fast growth and a high trajectory our hot new startup is seeking a world class backend developer who can help guide us safely to a million users and up.
We are seeking someone with:
- Experience owning, shipping, and iterating on web products that have reached a large amount of users.
- Experience mentoring and supporting others in their learning of web programming.
- A deep understanding of the best practices in client-side web development and architecture. (performance auditing, accessibility etc…)
- You could ship an entire web application if you wanted to, but prefer working with others.
- The ability to not just articulate about design but also to produce a design and prototype features you wish to build.
- Understanding of server side tooling & API design, and experience integrating with an API development team.
- Clear communication and writing that helps your team rally around ideas and objectives.
- Productive habits, healthy process awareness, and good teamwork skills and instincts.
You will be supporting our REST API backend which was built using the following technologies:
NodeJS, Express, MongoDB, Github, Docker, AWS, 3rd party API's
Right now we’re a small team of 10 - this means you will enjoy a full range of responsibilities and autonomy over the codebase you are responsible for as well as having a real impact at our growing startup.
This role would be remote to start with, and after 4 weeks the candidate will be offered a full time position with relocation to Chiang Mai, Thailand.
