QA Engineer - SQL server team

Dell Software, Saint Petersburg, is looking for Software QA Engineer to join the LiteSpeed for SQL Server team. LiteSpeed for SQL Server is a backup and recovery solution for MS SQL Server with efficient compression and encryption.

Role & Responsibilities

· Manual testing

· Writing test cases based on the product documentation (MRD)

· Run tests according to test cases, performance and ad-hoc testing

· Set up test environment

· Working with a bug tracking system (enter change requests and re-test once they have been resolved)

· Communicate with developers in diagnosing issues

· Responsible for a product quality; prepare product RTM notifications for the teams

Requirement

· 2+ experience in software quality control

· Experience with Windows, MS SQL Server and Cloud Services

· Ability to critically analyze system functions and testing scope

· Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Preferences

· Good written English and speaking skills

· Familiarity with backup & restore terminology

· Experience with virtual environment (VMware, Hyper-V)

· Experience with command line tools (CMD, PowerShell)
