Well, it has to start somehow, so here are some things to know about me.
I like to be occupied with interesting work, where “interesting” has more value for me than “well-paid”. I’m a digital junkie spending most of the day staring at the monitor whether it is coding, editing videos or studying. I like to help people by teaching them how to do it themselves. I love physical activities, learn new things and to travel. A have been to many places in Europe and USA but mostly inspired by nature of northern Russia which I visit with my openminded friends. To save the best memories of the time spent as a tourist I shoot and edit movies that I post to my YouTube channel.
I never realized how much I like programming before I was introduced to Oracle Database. I guess “blind luck” is more or less what it was. Since the beginning coding PL/SQL felt like second nature even though my experience it this field was approaching null. I’m not saying it was easy (can’t say about myself that I quick to grasp), but I experienced some level of satisfaction while manipulating with data that did not happen with ABAP or Java for example. By the nature of things, it eventually came clear to me that current position will not provide me neither with new knowledge nor career opportunities, so I tried my hand at various other IT related occupations (relocation was not the option) with some interesting and sometimes unexpected results (but it’s a tale for another day) … Long story long, the idea of becoming high-profile PL/SQL developer haunts me more and more ever since.
