Senior Java Developer

Join our brand new project to develop an analytical platform for a leading VoIP company. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in design and development of the advanced Big Data platform that bridges open source frameworks like Hadoop and Hive with commercial OLAP solutions to crunch terabytes of data. Responsibilities:
• Develop an architecture of Big Data processing system, collect and analyze technical requirements
• Evaluate commercial OLAP and reporting solutions, make recommendations to the client
• Design and implement MapReduce jobs, Hive table schemas and queries
• Design and implement ETL scripts and procedures
Requirements:
• Strong Java programming skills
• Excellent technical design skills, ability to develop and document system architecture
• Hands-on experience with Linux and scripting languages; python and bash are preferable
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop, Hive, Oozie, M/R
• Good command of SQL and understanding of OLAP databases
• Understanding of database internals (query optimization, transaction processing, pipelining) is a plus
