GTON Capital is building our own L2 Blockchain - a Binance Chain rollup (based on Optimism tech), with a decentralised stablecoin GCD as payment currency

Our goal is to establish a new Web3 ecosystem for dApps, DeFi, GameFi, EdTech apps with easy costs calculation and store of value protected from crypto volatility

The company is based in Dubai, UAE. The team is international with mostly remote developers

👨‍💻 Example daily tasks - based on latest sprints

- Launch a peer node for our blockchain. This might require launching a new separate test chain from scratch to figure out ENV parameters for Docker Compose that we need to apply to the main node to accept peers. There is no access to the main node due to security concerns, but we provide all instructions on how to create a new chain

- Figure out the best way to gather chain stats with a Grafana dashboard, which might need to be launched on a separate machine. Base setup is available as part of Docker Compose but needs tweaking, the node itself is a widely used GETH client and you might need to research solutions the other chains use to suggest the best one

- Create a proof of concept for a decentralised oracles network (DON) based on Chainlink open source code. You might start with launching a DON locally with 5 peers, then try to create a network across several independent machines in different datacenters. Chainlink documentation might be scarce

- Establish chain health checks, to ensure the main node is writing its state to the L1 blockchain (Binance), heartbeat transactions are executed properly, the chain isn’t congested with too many transactions in queue. Alerts should be sent to Discord/Telegram if something goes wrong

- Add on-chain activity monitoring for L1 contracts, ex. contract events monitoring, provide aggregated statistics in a dashboard/simple Telegram stats bot

🎓 Requirements

- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code & scripts

- 5+ years working experience writing backend applications

- 2+ years working with Docker Compose & other containerization solutions

- Ability to read & write JS/TS, Python code, shell scripts

- Java, Go - a plus, need to be able to debug it

- NodeJS, GraphQL

- Experience with MongoDB and PostgresQL (others is a plus)

- Any blockchain experience, especially in events monitoring/aggregation is a big plus

- Test-driven, documentation-first development approach (when appropriate)

- English proficiency - at least upper intermediate
