Linux Kernel Software Engineer

As a SW engineer you’ll belong to the largest R&D department, work in a high paced environment, learn and develop cutting edge technologies and work with a high performance team.

5G base station (gNB) products are targeted to run over embedded, COTS servers and cloud.

The products involve several SW layers (L1-L3) ,multiple SW components, and SW interfaces with HW/FPGA. The eco system include third party components (core network, cellular devices).

Typical features may be related to configuration flow, protocols implementation, data processing, K8s orchestration and more.

Responsibilities:

• Accountability and answerability for the team tasks and deliverables.
• Pursue and maintain high quality standards of the team deliveries.
• Implementation of best software engineering practices.
• Motivating and education team members to excel and meet project goals and deadlines. Close collaboration with other team leaders and project peers.

Skills and Experience:

• 5 + years of experience with Linux – must
• Proven skills and ability to develop new BSPs including boot loaders (board bring up) – must
• Excellent familiarity with Linux internals (kernel space) and Linux ecosystem- advantage
• Experience with x86 architecture and PCIe bus – major advantage
• Knowledge of device drivers development especially network drivers – must
• Experience with fast packet processing technologies (VPP, ODP, DPDK, etc.) – major advantage
• Experience with Dockers, Kubernetes and other cloud technologies – nice to have
• Highly motivated, Team player, dynamic, with good personal and communication skills
• Fluent English
• Proactive and efficient Education. Required: BSc, Computer Science. Preferred: MSc Computer Science
