We are looking for an awesome backend engineer for an online Marketplace, to join our equally awesome team in Düsseldorf or Palma de Mallorca!

You should have:

• Plenty of practical backend experience with modern PHP (7&8).
  • Comparable experience in JVM languages, coupled with basic understanding of PHP, might also be sufficient.
• Solid knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
• Experience in collaborating with product owners and strong customer orientation.
• Great analytical skills in process optimization and a customer-centered mindset.
• Team spirit to work within amazing, international team of METRO Markets.
• Good communication skills in English. German/Spanish is not required.
