Python developer

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with doctors and AI scientists to build models around clinical decision making processes

• Partner with clinical AI scientists to design and build data infrastructure to support data science projects in model training and inference, following software engineering best practices.

• Collaborate with backend engineers in designing and implementing effective ETL processes compatible with modeling needs and interactions

• Maintain production model code bases with extensible, compact, and well-tested code.

• Build tools for efficient data validation, visualization, exploratory data analysis, model explanation, and feature attribution for data scientists and end-users

• Develop, optimize, and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines that ingest structured and unstructured data that interact with the model analytics modules, with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and reliability
  
  

Core competencies and qualifications:

• Strong programming competency in Python (with packages such as pandas, scipy, numpy, sciikit-learn) and working knowledge of R

• Knowledge of JavaScript and readiness to analyze JavaScript code

• Experience in maintaining production models in a structured and collaborative setting

• Solid foundation in software engineering principles, approaches, and patterns

• Familiarity with deploying data pipelines and analytics modules in AWS

• Experience in developing scripts to parse, process, clean, and analyze data sets

• Implementation efficiency and attention to detail

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to forecast and balance long-term strategic design and short-term tactical solutions

• Self-organized and proactive attitude

Preferred qualifications:

• At least 1 year of professional experience as a data engineer

• Degree in computer science, statistics, math or other quantitative and engineering fields.

• Good foundation in statistics and machine learning (convolutional neural networks, tree ensembles, Bayesian networks, influence diagrams, generalized linear models)

• Familiarity with python based machine learning packages Keras/Tensorflow, PyTorch, Sklearn
