Middle/Senior DWH/BI Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Middle or Senior DWH/BI Engineer to join our team! The successful candidate should be proficient in data modeling techniques, as well as capable of discussing and communicating business rules and how to implement those rules in a data model.

About the Customer:

The customer provides products for mobile app solutions, effortless payment, paratransit, business travel, and advertising that reaches captive audiences of millions and traces its history of success back to 1992. They are creating a comprehensive mobility platform for operators to efficiently manage their vehicles and drivers, for regulators to be informed and establish guidelines, for service providers to deliver sustainable, future-proof solutions, and for riders to have an effortless transit experience.

About the Project:

The project is a taxi ordering service. The user can hail a taxi, monitor hailed taxi, pay for a ride, see trips history. The system contains the following components:

• ride server (all data processing)
• payment server (PCI DSS-compliant)  which performs a transaction with the passenger's digital wallet and payment gateways
• mobile application (hail taxi, geocoding, map, payments)
• taxi terminal (3rd party)

The project includes integration with 3rd party services, including PayPal, MasterPass, Stripe, Twilio.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in DWH/BI/Big Data development
• Good understanding of data warehousing and ETL techniques 
• Experience in data visualization software such as Tableau
• Strong SQL skills
• Knowledge of the Agile Software Development Life Cycle
• Knowledge of domain-driven design
• Exposure to .NET and C#, Microsoft SQL Server
• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
• Experience managing hosting environments, including database administration and scaling applications to support load changes
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• English at least intermediate

Responsibilities:

• Preparing data for use by Tableau
• Establishing connections to Data Sources
• Adding or Creating Dimensions, Measures and Calculations
• Performing Data Modeling in Tableau Desktop
• Developing Workbooks and Hyper Extracts on Tableau Desktop
• Publishing Workbooks and Data Sources to Tableau Development and QA sites
• Refreshing Extracts on Development and QA sites
• Monitoring the status of extract schedules on QA site
• Performing Unit Testing on Development and QA sites
• Resolving any data or performance issues related to workbooks and data sources
• Monitoring Usage Report of their Workbooks and Data Sources
• Enhancement of few existing reports, plus build few new reports/dashboards
• Ensure that ETL is working fine, and reports are running seamless
