DevOps Engineer

Job Overview:

We are excited to announce a new opening in our company for the position of IT DevOps Engineer. As a successful candidate, you will join a dynamic and international team of talented professionals. You will report directly to the Head of IT Operations and will play an integral part in the operations of our company and our future projects that are already expanding. If you are not living in Cyprus already, we will assist you to move there after a successful trial period in remote working.

SimplyBook.me is one of the best known appointment scheduling systems around the world with users in every corner of the world. Recently we acquired a supporting solution being launched as SimplyMeet.me and more projects are being worked on. As an international company we are running servers and server parks in several places around the world.

Job Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure design, deployment, and configuration
• Firewalls and Network Security Management
• Servers Operating System maintenance
• Create documentation for infrastructure systems
• Active Directory & Network Policies building and maintenance
• Backup monitoring & management
• CI/CD management & automation

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or an equivalent field
• Fluent in English, verbal and written
• At least 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
• Experience and deep knowledge in the management of Linux OS is a must
• Hands-on experience in virtualization clusters, Docker and Kubernetes, is a must
• PHP, NGINX/Apache, SQL (Mysql / Postgres) knowledge is a must
• Experience setting up firewalls and applying network security policies is a must
• Experience with Google cloud and AWS is a major plus
• Knowledge of Gitlab and understanding of CI/CD automation is required
• Excellent communication skills & teamwork
• Ability to multitask within a cross-functional team
• Willing to work periodically off outside normal working hours, on-call duty
