Senior Automation QA (Java)

Currently we are looking for a Senior Automation QA  to develop and execute automated performance tests. 

About the Customer:

The Customer is a New York-based analytics company which was founded in 2002. The company sells software and hardware products for client engagement management, security, surveillance, and business intelligence. Their products are designed to assist clients in data analysis, specifically large data sets. The Customer has 2,800 employees in various locations internationally.

About the Project:

The Project is a WorkForce Management product (work shifts planner). Now it needs to be updated to new technology stack. 

We’re looking for an experienced Automation QA to develop automated performance tests on a complex data distribution/aggregation web application.

Project team: 2 Automation Testers

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in building and maintenance of automation frameworks;
• Good knowledge of and experience with Java automation tools;
• Experience creating automated tests using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Maven(Gradle), Page Object pattern;
• Experience creating automated tests using BDD (Cucumber)
• Git experience;
• Curiosity on how tools you use work under the hood;
• Passion for testing and aspiration to deliver high-quality product;
• Highly motivated, organized, creative team player, willing to work in a highly dynamic atmosphere.
• Experience debugging web applications in browsers;
• Experience working in Agile development teams;
• Working knowledge of bug tracking tools (e.g., Atlassian Jira);
• Solid understanding of general quality assurance/software testing processes, methodologies, and procedures;

Responsibilities:

• Provide the best quality tests;
• Creating and supporting automated tests;
• Create test scenarios using BDD (Cucumber);
• Active participation in the software development process;
• Work with Jira (issues creation/verification).
• Work closely with an Agile squad of developers and product managers to validate new features and bugfixes;
• Be a customer advocate who seeks to understand the needs and expectations of our customers.
• Analysing test run results;
• Execute and monitor results of automated suites within CI infrastructure;

Nice to have:  Jira, Jenkins experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide the best quality tests;
• Create plans, test scenarios, test cases and test reports;
• Active participation in the software development process, cooperation with programmers, analysts and administrators;
• Create technical and utility documentation;
• Work with Jira (issues creation/verification).
