Project Manager

Natchez Trace, a branch of the Japanese Macnica-Fuji corporation, is developing Video over IP products for live video transport applications in the Broadcast and ProAV spaces.

We are looking for a Software Project Manager to complement our team of 15 technical staff. The position also involves close collaboration with the hardware team located overseas. Some international travel is required.

WHAT YOU WILL DO AS SW PROJECT MANAGER:

• Work with VP of Software to gain a deep understanding of all technical aspects of the project;
• Collaborate with Product Management to fulfill market needs, budgets, and project timelines;
• Manage and mentor embedded software engineers, oversee activities and deliverables;
• Work closely with the Product Manager to ensure sprints are defined and tracked as required such that deadlines are met.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in software engineering;
• 5+ years software development experience;
• 3+ years of engineering management experience;
• Experience developing products and managing full product life cycle;
• Experience with Software Design and verification, and managing software design engineers;
• Experience with embedded software and managing embedded software engineers;
• Track record collaborating with engineering teams located overseas;
• Very strong communication skills in Russian and English;
• Strong organizational skills.
  
  The successful candidate will be passionate about developing, attracting and inspiring the engineering team leads, project leads and technical experts necessary to support the demanding timelines for the Video over IP road map. The candidate will adhere to the Agile software design principles with respect to process, quality, reliability, productivity and metrics. Also, he/she will be responsible for strengthening the technical competence and capabilities of the group by bringing new technology and capabilities into the organization and becoming a recognized leader for key competences within the global organization. We expect you to stay current with the latest software technologies, development environments, tools, processes and best practices.

Knowledge of Broadcast Video and / or IP Networking and Lua will be a plus.
