Senior Manual QA Engineer

About the Project:

The tool is designed to support the pricing team of a retailer or category managers to set prices on all products. The approach combines three main points of view: competitive comparison, target economics, internal architectural consistency with other internal rules and guardrails to propose price changes in response to changing costs and competitor activity. Users will control the tool by managing settings rather than directly intervening on pricing.

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ of experience in manual testing of web-based, mobile and desktop applications;

• Knowledge of Scrum methodology and experience in working as a part of scrum team;

• Deep understanding of testing processes and the role of testers on each project level;

• Experience in creating testing docs of all levels (test plan, test strategy, check-lists and test-cases);

• Basic knowledge of DB (Mongo preferable);

• Initiative, ability and desire to analyze existing process and to make improvements to it;

• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manual testing of User Stories on a web app;

• Working as part of a Scrum team, participating in all related meetings (Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Retro, Daily standup);

• Constant communication with the team from a client side (with developers on ticket details, with PO - on confirming and elaborating requirements);

• Writing and keeping up-to-date testing documentation (Test Plan, Test Strategy, check-lists and test-cases);

• Simple manipulations with DB (Mongo) - editing/deleting/finding values and test the impact;

• Taking part in process improvement activities, be ready to introduce changes

• Preparing bug reports.
