React Developer

An exciting new role has arisen to work with a fast-growing California-based startup, building an awesome product. We are looking for a mid to

senior level React developer passionate about creating polished web applications with beautiful, well-designed UIs using the React library.

Your primary responsibility will be the implementation of visual elements and their behaviors with user interactions. You will work closely with both

designers and other front-end developers to build highly modular, reusable React components. You will also be bridging the gap between the

visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new user-facing features using the React library.
• Build reusable, clean code with performance and simplicity in mind.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
• Motivated to build fantastic products.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of React best practices and conventions.
• Extensive experience with JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds.
• Experience with unit testing principles and tools like Jest and Enzyme
• Excellent understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience working with and designing RESTful APIs.
• Proficient knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues.
• Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Webpack.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Excellent understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance.
• Ability to work as part of a distributed team in a self-directed way.

• Experience working within a JAVA environment
• Familiarity with the JSON:API spec (http://jsonapi.org)
• Experience with Styled Components (https://styled-components.com/)
• Experience with Mobx or Redux (https://mobx.js.org/ or http://redux.js.org/)
• Experience with React Storybook (https://getstorybook.io/)
• Experience with React Native
