Team Lead Developer (API Platform)

We are looking to hire an exceptional Team Lead to help us to build and lead the team of engineers for one of the core parts of the system: a distributed system of asynchronous services for data processing.

We work remotely from different locations across the globe, but we may also support your relocation to our hubs in Lisbon or Belgrad.

What you’ll do in this role:

• Build a top-performing team taking care of the motivation and growth
• Design and implement our new platform architecture in collaboration with Architects and other Leads
• Drive engineering best practices across all aspects of software development to build, test and release distributed services with predictable quality and reliability
• Continuously improve platform core services
• Lead teams’ delivery, set clear goals and priorities in a partnership with Product Owner
• Build team technical strategy and translate it to actionable roadmap
• Work closely with other Team Leads ensuring consistency in technical solutions, processes, goals and quality

Our ideal candidate has the following background and skillset:

• Solid experience in developing software on the backend side using Python and asynchronous frameworks
• Experience in design and architecture of microservices
• Experience in other languages like Go, Java or Elixir / Erlang is a huge plus
• Experience in developing scalable and distributed web services
• Experience with SQL (we use PostgreSQL) and knowledge of NoSQL solutions like ElasticSearch and Kafka.
• Track records of managing high-performing teams from technical and people management perspectives
• Track records of driving projects across multiple teams
• Leadership by example and excellent communication
• Good level of written English (B2 and higher)
