Who we are?

Picnic is a social media startup based in Silicon Valley looking for an excited and hardworking marketing assistant. Over the last 4 months, we have gotten over 2 million downloads, and are one of the fastest growing social media apps. A core part of our marketing strategy is influencer partnerships - we want to bring on someone to support our marketing department with marketing strategy and execution. You don’t need to have any past marketing experience. We’re just looking for people who have an amazing attitude, are excited about the project, and are willing to quickly learn.

This job is fully remote and has flexible hours and work days. However, you are expected to work a total of 40 hours per week.

Job Duties

Marketing Assistant responsibilities include assisting in organizing campaigns and developing marketing strategies.

This work will be a critical factor for the smooth operation of the Marketing department and the attainment of its goals, as well as for the long-term growth of the company.

Responsibilities

• Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
• Support marketing executives in organizing various projects
• Source and set up partnerships with social media accounts that align with our marketing strategy
• Create and execute in-app engagement strategies (events, contests, giveaways, etc)

Requirements and skills

• Quick learner
• Hardworking
• Culturally aware with a good understanding of the social media landscape
• Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
• Good interpersonal skills
• Conversational English skills (advanced is preferred)
