Senior Java Developer

The Santander Consumer Bank is a prominent provider of financial services in the private customer business and a leader in manufacturer -independent car and consumer goods financing. Our parent company, the Spanish Banco Santander, is the largest banking group in the euro zone and one of the most important banks in the world.

In this challenging position, you will analyze, design and develop banking applications and solutions for the digitization of the bank. The focus here is on the active new and further development of microservices and existing core banking systems. The development takes place in agile mixed teams according to Scrum methodology.

Tasks:

• Development and maintenance of internally developed systems based on Java technologies
• Handling the entire software development process from analysis, design, programming, testing to ongoing operation
• Support for business analysts in the analysis of business requirements with a technical focus
• Initiation and implementation of system optimizations
• Research and evaluation of new technologies and methods

Qualifications:

• Senior Java Developer with 4+ years of experience
• Ideally if you have experience with the following technologies: Spring (Boot), JavaScript, React, Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience in agile software development is an advantage
• Responsible, goal-oriented and analytical way of working
• Service oriented and hands-on mentality
• Degree in IT (e.g. HTL, FH, university)
