Quality Engineer (Backend) - to Cyprus

At Tango, we truly believe that being a Quality Engineer is impossible if you don't automate your tests and we adhere to the ‘automation first’ concept, so we are looking for QA Automation and those Test Engineers who are tired of routine manual work and want to make a qualitative leap by mastering one of our test frameworks for the role of a Quality Engineer.

At the same time, we know for sure that the responsibilities of a Quality Engineer are not limited to writing automated tests - this position is more about the people who use Tango, so you will take part in the development cycle, from designing user stories to processing user feedback after release. And this loop can have many iterations.

As a Quality Engineer, you will be a part of a product team, and focus on backend testing. You will work closely with the software developers, architects, product owners, business analysts, support and moderation. Managing QA activities, such as writing automation tests, performing load testing (sometimes exploratory), and taking part in architectural reviews, will lead the team in maintaining high-quality standards.

Please note: the position is open for for those who are already in Cyprus or ready to relocate from Russia to our Cyprus office. Visa and relocation packaged are offered to successful candidates (Company pays all relocation expenses including: tickets, hotel for 2 weeks, all expenses for documents).

What you will do:

• Translate deep insights into architecture, product, specifications into a comprehensible test plan covering all aspects of testing, including functional, reliance, performance, load, scalability and security, review them with QA Lead and stakeholders
• Write automated tests that are reusable, maintainable, and resilient to changes
• Participate in design and engineering review, giving feedback on testability and impact on existing features and systems
• Combine different testing methods and approaches to ensure best testing coverage
• Analyze test results in automated suites also designed by other engineers in the company

Who you are:

• You have 3-5 years' experience in designing, implementing, executing and analyzing automated tests for complex, production system software,
• Good knowledge of REST API, understanding microservices architecture,
• You are proficient in at least one modern programming language (Java/Kotlin preferred),
• Experience with CI systems (GitLab, Jenkins),
• Experience managing Docker containers,
• Basic SQL knowledge,
• Hands-on experience with various backend automation frameworks and tools,
• Ability to create reusable components to automate repeatable, manual activities,
• Experience in planning and executing QA Automation tasks to completion and taking ownership of quality during a set of sprints
• Hands-on experience of working projects on Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Azure,
• You are proficient in spoken and written English.
