Lead Manual QA

Who We Are: we are Mediasapiens, a German company. On the market we have existed since 2010 and are represented in Hamburg, Kharkiv and Rostov-on-Don but our employees work remotely from Ukraine, Russia and Germany.

What We Are Doing: We develop the SaaS/IaaS platform for media, medical and financial clients. Platform’s goal is to simplify the processing of user data threads. Also we secure digitalization of business processes for medium-sized companies and corporations in medicine, finance, logistics, telecommunications, services and e-commerce. Our platform covers the challenging needs of enterprise customers in EU.

Your Responsibilities:

• QA manual processes description from the scratch;
• Establish a strong manual QA team;
• Planning & estimation; task assignment, control, people motivation, coaching, and mentorship;
• Strong software testing knowledge, testing throughout the software life cycle, test design techniques, test management tools configuration and support;
• Complex mobile/web applications testing;
• API testing (Postman, Fiddler or Charles), SQL and NoSQL DBMS (MS SQL, My SQL, Mongo DB, PostgreSQL, RedisMQ), VCS (GIT, SVN).

Our Requirements:

• At least 1+ years of experience managing QA team;
• 4+ years of QA Engineer experience with interactive web-based testing like BrowserStack Live or AWS Device Farm;
• Experience in Web and Mobile (iOS, Android) application testing;
• Good understanding of Quality Assurance concepts and approaches;
• Experience in developing QA artifacts (Test Plan, Test Design, Traceability Matrix, User Scenarios, Test Cases, Checklists, QA Metrics);
• Experience with Test Design Techniques;
• Solid knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle;
• Solid experience using at least one bug tracking tool (preferably Jira);
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to learn quickly and willingness to continuously improve yourself;
• English level - intermediate and higher.

Would Be A Plus:

• ISTQB certification
• Experience with front end test automation (Selenium is especially welcomed)
• Experience with BDD/Keyword Driven automation frameworks (Robot Framework, Cucumber, etc.)
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Basic knowledge of any scripting language (Python is preferable)
• Basic knowledge of SQL
