Software/Data Engineer

We are the data science/engineering team working on projects concerning customer analytics at the Deutsche Telekom. Currently, we are looking for a software or data engineer with strong technical and programming skills.

Responsibilities:

• Work proactively with data scientists and engineers to provide software solutions
• Design and develop microservices, its architecture and API
• Create and optimize SQL queries
• Build ETL pipelines
• Work with deployment and CI/CD pipelines

Requirements:

General expectations:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering or data engineering
• Proven strong experience in developing and delivering end-to-end production solutions
• Ability to deliver with limited guidance and work on problems that are not structure
• Holds a Masters (MSc) in Computer Science, Programming, Applied Mathematics, or similar related field
• Fluent in English

Required skills:

• Software engineering (preferably Python)
• Understanding of modern methods of software development (git, unit testing, etc.)
• Understanding of databases and SQL
• Modern CI/CD methods and tools
• Experience in working with clouds (preferably AWS)
