Senior C++ Client Programmer (Big World)– business trips to Sydney, Australia

Wargaming / BigWorld is seeking an experienced Senior C++ Software Engineer for its award winning BigWorld Technology, online game engine that powers Words of Tanks, the company’s flagship game launched in April 2011 and currently boasts 70 million players worldwide. This role requires the willingness to travel for periods of up to three months for training in Sydney, Australia.

Your primary responsibilities will include the following:

Act as frontline support for game studios, fixing minor bugs, creating workarounds, and keeping track of product defects
• Work as a BigWorld Technology evangelist, demonstrating latest features and working with game teams to integrate into their engine
• Provide training on how to use BigWorld Technology
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with game studios
• Debug and program in C/C++, Python and other languages as necessary, ensuring that all code is thoroughly tested and is of a high quality
• Recommend enhancements and assist in enhancing the product to best fit the game studio Skills and Knowledge required: Excellent C++ skills & experience
• A good knowledge of the Python language
• Windows and Linux Operating System knowledge
• Ability to pick up and understand new technology quickly
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
• Confident in conducting training sessions
• Strong time management skills
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields
• Excellent English & Russian communication skills (both verbal and written) Desirable:
• Knowledge of distributed systems/ network programming
