Обо мне

My name is Denis and I work in the IT sphere since 2010. For me, IT stands not only "Information Technologies" but also for "International Technologies". This means that you work with people all over the world and for the last 8 years I’ve been involved in more than 150 projects and I would love to describe my experience.

SALESMAN IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT COMPANY

My IT Career started as a Salesperson - I worked in Web outsourcing company and this position developed my personal business communication skills, working with clients from different countries (France, Germany, United States, Italy, Israel, Thailand, Japan, Singapore). 

Even working as Salesman, I also covered PM responsibilities:

  • Finding Client that is interested in Software development
  • Drawing up requirements for the project
  • Creating development strategy and technical specification
  • Confirming strategy with client
  • Tracking all the hours spent and money received

However, I always thought that the most interesting work was done by our Project Managers and I wanted to move on, so I decided to change the company in order to work on the projects, not just selling them.

PM IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT COMPANY

After 1 year of working as a Sales Manager in Software development company, I have joined the team, called "inCode Systems".

The company was young and I already had Sales skills, so first, I set up the company strategy for bringing new clients. I was responsible for both Sales and Project Management and this lead to 1200+ hours worked by tracker and 35 fixed price projects completed (according to UpWork) in year 2016.

Our skills set was following:

  • Back-end: PHP, Node.JS, Ruby
  • Front-end: React.JS, Angular.JS
  • Database: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
  • Cross-Platform: React Native

I had to understand the architecture and structure of every single project in order to speak the same language with developers. On some of the projects I was responsible for simple front-end tasks and finalized them by myself. So, I would say that I am a Junior Developer in almost all of those I listed above.

PM IN MARKETING COMPANY

After 4 years of working in Software development company I wanted to broaden up my experience not only in development but in marketing as well, so I decided to change company to CRO and Marketing one. Currently, my projects have the following types:

  • Conversion Rate Optimization projects. Together with my team, my work was to increase the conversion rate of existing project.
  • Search Engine Optimization projects, increasing organic traffic to our clients.
  • Analytics projects where we have to set up tracking system that will answer any of our clients’ business questions (for example, "What are the top entry pages to the site?" or "Where is my inbound traffic coming from?").
  • Development projects, leading the development process on the project.

PROJECT MANAGER IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT COMPANY

After 1 year of working in a Marketing Company, I had an offer to join a Software Company that works with different US-based startups (mostly in Texas but I also have few clients in California) to help them with establishing Sales processes, PMO processes and I am currently working as assistant to Product Manager, helping with startups Business analysis

My Responsibilities are:

  • Finding new Clients
  • Project decomposition and helping to identify MVP part of the Project (to save time and money)
  • Project management

My strengths:

  • Business and start-up background
  • Fluent in both verbal and written English
  • Business-driven attitude, focused on business goals (time/money/value)
