During two months of industrial immersion, I've done a comparative analysis of advanced numerical optimization algorithms to solve a specific problem of increasing the efficiency of waterflooding in a mature oil field. I developed and applied optimization algorithm that is better than existing algorithms in terms of NPV and outperforms previously used by Gazpromneft STC in 4-6. times. I developed a program module that optimizes the placement of new wells based on the shift of the initial grid.
