The St. Petersburg R&D Center as a part of GDE (Group Digital Engineering organization reporting to Chief Technology Officer of Electrolux) plays an important role in the entire business of the Electrolux Group of companies. We develop and maintain our ecosystem of Smart Appliances interacting with Internet services and Mobile apps. And to keep doing so, we need more people who want to innovate and re-imagine what life at home can be.

What we do?

The uniqueness of St. Petersburg team and its technological stack is that our division is a leading R&D hub within the Electrolux Group and that is why our specialists are at the forefront of developing technological innovations and modern digital solutions in such areas as:

• Cloud computing, including management of different clouds (AWS/IBM/Microsoft/Google), cloud-to-cloud interaction and connectivity platform architecture design
• Wide technological stack for Internet of Things
• Application of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/Big Data solutions for embedded systems
• Digital firmware development of connected modules (Linux/RTOS)
• Full-cycle quality assurance, including automation testing and software testing tools development
• Development of common interface to Voice Interaction with all products
• Edge mobile development
• Serious concentration on the development of an effective Software architecture
• Cybersecurity including IoT PKI Certification Authority, Penetration Testing

How is it working with us?

We are a distributed team, with over 80 people in our GDE center. The largest site in is Italy, the 2nd largest is St. Petersburg, Russia, other sites are in Sweden, Prague, USA, Malaysia. Our team consists of highly qualified engineers possessing various specialties and located in different parts of the world at it provides a great opportunity for professional collaboration and growth.

While governing our projects we adhere to up-to-date agile methodologies with the opportunity to take a challenge as a project leader and we welcome getting autonomy with complex tasks. 

St. Petersburg R&D Hub is located in the city center, within walking distance from the Lesnaya/Chernaya Rechka/Petrogradskaya metro stations.

A spacious modern Electrolux office with a magnificent view of Neva river and city TV tower is equipped with high-quality IT equipment in labs, a kitchen with modern appliances, meeting rooms and a comfortable workplace.
